The U900 is Samsung’s flagship phone of 2008. It’s a super-sexy super-slim slide phone that looks very “2008″ with its dual-screen touch-sensitive controls and metal casing. With a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, 3G video calling, MP3 player, FM radio and plenty of memory it should tick most people’s boxes. Available in Graphite or Silver.The final highlight of today’s presentation is a handset Samsung are in fact putting up front. It’s their latest Ultra series mobile - the largely advertised Samsung U900 Soul. This year Samsung are presenting only one Ultra device - they claim it’s the quintessential mobile device that doesn’t need to mix with any Ultra peers.

Features of the Samsung U900 include:

* Touchscreen user interface
* 5 megapixel camera with face detection autofocus, image stabilizer and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)
* 3G HSPDA 7.2 Mbps
* Video calling
* Music player and FM radio

Audio quality on the Samsung SGH-U900 is good but I don’t think Samsung is marketing this phone as a music phone so it’s more of a camera phone. However, audiophiles who want a camera phone with a passable audio quality would love this phone. The Samsung Soul has a built-in 128MB memory expandable with a microSD card to house your favorite tunes. It also has an FM radio and supports Blutooth A2DP profile.

Samsung U900 Soul reviews  from  Yourmobilephonereviews
The pros.
- You can now use your own sounds as the message alert tone which has been a long time coming.
- Also, you have complete control over the look of the phone, the pattern, colours, font etc. I haven’t seen this on any other phone & I think it’s great, when you get bored you can completely change the design & you have a whole new phone!
- the touch screen is really cool & again you can keep changing the colour of the icons.
- the wallpaper can be to constantly side show through specific photos which is a nice feature.

The cons.
- the sound of the music is not that loud & the caller ID pictures are pretty small.
- Also the videos I took on my D900 will not play on the U900 which is odd considering they are both Samsungs but I am hoping I can change the resolution using the PC Studio.
- There does not seem to be the option of blocking messages from certain numbers, I found that quite useful on the D900, however you can still automatically reject calls from certain numbers.
