Sanyo Pro-200 (Sprint) Reviews

sanyo_pro200_sprint_z1.jpgThe Sanyo PRO-200 (left) is a slim clamshell and features Bluetooth, messaging and mobile email. Priced at US $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and 2-year service agreement. When Sprint merged with Nextel almost three years ago, there were concerns with how Sprint would integrate its CDMA network with Nextel’s iDEN network, and how the two companies would coordinate their respective push-to-talk services. A new push-to-talk technology was developed by Qualcomm, called QChat, to help that process along. QChat is a CDMA upgrade to iDEN, and allows interoperability between CDMA phones and the iDEN network. Three years later and we finally see the first QChat phones to hit the market, in the form of the Sanyo Pro Series–the Pro-200

Samsung Instinct Reviews

123.jpgLast week, Sprint announced the Samsung Instinct, an upcoming device that has clearly been designed to go head-to-head with the Apple iPhone.
It’s not going to be what many people consider a smartphone, but it will still offer many of the features smartphone buyers are looking for, like a web browser, EV-DO Rev. A, email, GPS receiver, and more.
Samsung was demonstrating the Instinct at CTIA last week, and I was there to capture a video demonstration:

HTC Touch Dual (Unlocked) Reviews

htc_touch_dual_front-sm.jpgWhen it comes to touch-screen phones, there are those who dig them and those who want to bury them. And when we say touch-screen phones, we mean the models that largely lack physical buttons, more specifically tactile dialpads and keyboards a la Apple iPhone, LG Prada, and Samsung Instinct. The HTC Touch also falls into this category, and when we originally reviewed the Windows Mobile smartphone, we had major issues with its minuscule onscreen keyboard. HTC pretty much got the hint, as it implemented better and larger virtual keyboards on the Verizon and Sprint versions but still, some desire the feel of actual keys.

LG KF510 Red Reviews

kf510_red.jpgThe LG KF510 Red mobile phone is slim and fashionable, yet it’s also surprisingly tough. This slide-open handset is coated in a metallic shade of Sunset Red, with an animated user interface adding to its design-conscious appearance. Its strength comes from a metal body and a tempered glass display screen… despite being less than 11mm thick.

LG VX8500 Chocolate Reviews

phone makes for one of the most satisfying V Cast music handsets we’ve seen to date; unfortunately, it’s hobbled by its lack of dedicated music controls, earbuds and USB cables, while its touch-sensitive inputs are way too sensitive for our taste. Release: July 2006. Price: $50.

Sony Ericsson K610i Reviews

686161.jpgThe Sony Ericsson K610i is a ultra slim & compact 3G mobile phone which comes in a choice of highly attractive coloured casing which include urban silver or evening red. Sony Ericsson k530i Silver Reviews

k530i_silver.jpgThe Sony Ericsson K530i is an attractive mid-range 3G phone available in a choice of Thunder Black or Warm Silver. The specification and design of the K530i is almost exactly the same as the Sony Ericsson W660i, and so we would refer you to our in-depth review of the W660i to read more. Really the only differences between the K530i and the W660i are that the K530i is not Walkman-branded (but it still has a music player and FM radio) and is missing the MegaBass™ feature.

Samsung Armani Reviews

samsung_armani1-9993-9999-11737.jpg

Samsung Armani phone has in abundance, it most definitely is style. Slim, compact and high-tech, the fully touch-operated Armani phone is not just the final touch to your look - it’s the finish with a flourish. Anyway, with us the tech junky tends to get the upper hand over the fashion savvy, and we are eager to find out if there’s more to it than what meets the eye. The really promising Samsung Armani phone seems the right mix between technology and looks, but we’re more interested in how it fares as a gadget, not an accessory.
