Nokia N78 Reviews

The Nokia N78, announced at Mobile World Congress 2008, is a candybar form factor Nseries phone with a 3.2 megapixel camera, integrated GPS with WiFi and HSDPA connectivity. It is Nokia’s new entry level Nseries product (a relative term when it comes to Nseries – the N78 comfortably qualifies as a mid to high-end product when seen in the context of Nokia’s complete device portfolio). In terms of hardware, the N78 is a step down from its Nseries sisters – less out of the box memory, smaller screen size, smaller camera resolution – but for the most part the actual functionality is still there, making the N78 a compelling proposition for those on a budget.
The Nokia N78 is a 3G Smartphone which definitely has style & comes in a fashionably sleek casing. The handset is a solid candy bar design which comes with rounded edges & a smooth tactile finish. The casing comes in three colour options which allow the user to choose the coloured section on the back of the handset which include a sophisticated black colour, brown & a white colour.
The Nokia N78 truly lives up to the Nseries promise of delivering unparalleled mobile multimedia experiences with the very latest technologies and services,” says Jonas Geust, who oversees Nokia’s Nseries devices. The Nokia N78 empowers people to explore their passions, enjoy their favourite music and share their experiences with others and is set to continue the range of well-balanced Nseries devices such as the successful Nokia N73.
Multimedia features
The player interface has seen some very thorough revamping, bearing significant differences from previous models. This type of interface is common with all new devices based on the S60v3 FP1 / FP2 platform, possible differences only consisting in the arrangement of the elements in the screen. The controls are quite convenient, both dedicated buttons and the navigation button can be used for rewinding, starting and pausing tracks. The track title and performer’s name are indicated on the screen during standby, the volume is adjusted with the side buttons.
Nokia N78 Reviews from Infosyncworld
Pros: Touch sensitive area is nicely implemented in the S60 interface. Rich feature set.
Cons: Kind of ugly looking. Keypad is a bit thin.
