nokia67The Nokia 6110 Navigator is not all work, work, work as the user can have fun using the phones built in 2 megapixel digital camera, video features & music player. The built in camera comes with a digital zoom & flash which allows the user to use their phones camera like a digital camera. The user can capture, edit, delete, share or store their photos & enjoy capturing moving video footage with the built in camera feature.

It’s a pretty sleek looking device, the Nokia 6110, with its shiny jet-black body and splashings of metal-look trim — it also comes in a rather less pleasing white, which is conspicuously absent in all of Nokia’s advertising material. To touch, though, the Nokia is a bit of a mixed bag. We could imagine Homer Simpson playing with its Samsung-esque spring-loaded slide mechanism all day — “slide goes up, slide goes down, slide goes up, slide goes down,” he’d say. Yet the 101mm by 49mm by 20mm plastic body is creaky and smudge prone — especially the screen, which is used to open and close the phone. The keypad buttons have a rather cheap feel to them and initially, it’s hard to tell whether you’ve pressed a key.

Nokia Mobile Phone Reviews:-

Mobileburn about Nokia 6110 Review :- The Nokia 6110 Navigator’s screen carries the same QVGA resolution, and is one of the best I have seen on a Nokia device. As the handset will more than likely be used for navigation while attached to the windscreen of a car, usability in direct sunlight is of paramount importance. This, thankfully, is one of the 6110’s plus points. Even in sunlight, the screen holds good contrast levels, and colors continue to appear quite rich. While a bigger screen would obviously be a boon for a device like this, I found it more than adequate in testing. Usage out of sunlight is great as well, with on-screen text and graphics being very crisp and clear. Small compass point detailing around the screen continues the navigator theme.

Asia.cnet about Nokia 6110 Review:- User: This phone is for people on the move! An ideal for Sales/Marketing people.
Do not go in for this phone if your looking for a good Talktime or a good battery backup. Nokia each time screws it up in battery back up.The 16million colour display and GPS account to a major loss in battery usage.Audio output is the best i have ever seen in a phone in this price range. Even N95 is nothing when compared to this audio output. A sony ericsson ‘W’ series are far behind to even compare.

GPS is good and its perfection is simply great. Voice clarity in GPS is superb and guides you very well in many languages.                    article6110navclosed.jpg

Yourmobilephonereviews about Nokia 6110 Review:- User:  All the features I wanted in a phone, but none of them work quite as well as hoped.

GPS & Satnav are good but too slow to lock on & abysmal battery performance. The GPS is not suitable for a 2 hour walk, I am looking for a solar or windup charger.

I also tried Google maps, this uses cell references first for instant positioning, then switches to the GPS when it gets a fix for an accurate position. The maps are downloaded as required & you can search points of interest. View ranger is essential in the UK to provide grid references to use with paper maps, I have the 1:50000 maps installed & this worked well.

The Camera is OK but not as good as other smartphones, I have gone back to using a camera & ignoring the one on the phone. My wife’s Sony Eriksson is much better for resolution, colour, shake, low light, flash & movement.
My main gripe is the total loss of sound at random, I end up with a GPS which cannot make or receive calls either through the headset, speaker or Bluetooth. This does not seem to be a common problem but others have the same fault & Nokia have not released a fix yet.
