Mobile Review- LG KS20 Review
Lately LG has been producing quite good looking and stylish phones and following this trend, they have recently added a new member to their line - LG KS20. It has a design
almost the same as of a Prada phone, but with different functionality and purpose, for which the Windows Mobile 6 Professional and the built in WiFi contribute big time. If you are a fan of smartphones and beautiful designer pieces, this device will suit you just fine.
Similarly to Prada, LG have not left the box behind and have crafted it so it fits the design.
The 2.8 inches TFT touch screen, covers 1/3 of the whole front. As it is touch-sensitive, it is used for the control of hte phone. Its specs are not any different than the rest of the phones in this class. The QVGA resolution is big enough for its physical size with small pixels, resulting in detailed images.
All together, the LG KS20 is a recommended buy, if you have some experiences with Windows Mobile devices; especially because it includes nearly everything (except GPS) a heavy smartphone user expects from such a device and even better”
The camera menu is easy to operate with both the stylus and the joystick. White balance can be either automatic or custom set to daylight, cloudy, illuminate or indoors. You can apply several color effects (Black and White, Sepia, Negative) and use the special Burst mode with 1, 3, 6 or 9 shots with an average interval of 3 seconds in full resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels.
The LG KS20 supports input via the included stylus or a fingertip, and also features handwriting recognition. Weighing in at 92.5g (3.3oz), the KS20 fits quite a few features in its small 100mm x 58mm x 12.8mm (3.9? x 2.3? x 0.5?) package. For increased convenience, the LG KS20 will ship with Google Maps, MySpace, and Ebay applications pre-installed.
PhoneArena reviews about LG KS20 “What characterizes phones with such functionality is that they are bigger and heavier, but not the KS20, which impresses with its compact size and light weight. Unfortunately, when you hold it in your hand, the feeling of comfort vanishes instantaneously because of the plastic, which makes it quite light and its size, which is too small for the masculine hand…The QVGA resolution is big enough for its physical size with small pixels, resulting in detailed images. The colors are saturated and realistic and the contrast is good.”
CNET Asia first take reviews about LG KS20 “At just 12.8mm, the KS20 is the slimmest Windows Mobile 6 handset with a touchscreen you will be able to find. It’s just a hair thinner than the Samsung SGH-i780 which has a depth of 12.9mm. The chassis of the KS20 is modeled after the Prada phone, which was well-received because of how good it looked. With its uncluttered facade and pocketable size, this handheld is definitely one of the prettiest ones you can find without a keypad.”
